The Henderson County Family YMCA is a not-for-profit health and human
service organization committed to helping people grow in spirit, mind and body. We serve people of all ages, background and incomes. It is our belief that our memberships and programs should be available to all.
It is important that all applicants provide the requested information regarding
gross income and family size so that scholarships may be awarded in a FAIR and consistent manner. A sliding fee scale, based on Federal guidelines, is used to determine the amount each recipient must contribute toward their membership. A strong sense of ownership and pride is developed when the recipient contributes to the cost of their membership and program fees. All applications and fees are kept confidential.
All recipients must re-apply on their anniversary date. Fees are subject to increase/decrease based on new financial information provided.
Applications and supporting documentation are reviewed and awards determined by a Scholarship Panel. Again, all information will remain confidential and applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial.
