GUEST POLICY
Guests are allowed Monday – Saturday only.
All guests must check in at the YMCA front desk.
Adult Guest (Ages 18+), non-YMCA member, $10 per visit – Full facility use.
Youth Guest (Ages 17 and under) $3 per visit – Youth Center, Pool, or Gymnasium only. Has to be a member to use wellness center due to age restrictions.
Our Y Members may request an extended guest pass. Forms available at front desk. Member must accompany guest at all times while using facility.
Members of Other YMCAs (A.W.A.Y. or Non-A.W.A.Y.) $3 per visit. Valid YMCA membership card required. Must pay non-member rate for programs.
Guest (youth or adult) may try one of the available aerobics classes (water or land) one time free. (Age restrictions apply according to program)
Membership Director approval needed for any arrangements that supersede these guidelines.
YOUTH RESTRICTIONS
All children 12 and under must be in a supervised activity or with an adult 18 or older when using the facility. If children are not with an adult, they will be taken to the Child Watch facility and parent will be notified. Children 4 years of age and older are not allowed in opposite sex locker rooms. As an alternative, you can use the handicap and family locker room located in the Aquatics office right next to the Men's locker room. Youth 9 and under are not allowed in Wellness Center.
PROGRAM PAYMENTS
Classes fill on a first come, first serve basis. YMCA reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Payment is required at time of registration and is accepted via cash, check, VISA or MasterCard.
PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY
• Some programs require a minimum number of participants to hold class and number will be noted in the description (i.e. - swim lessons require at least 3 in a class).
• If minimum class numbers are not met 3 days prior to first day of class, participants will be notified that class may be postponed or cancelled.
• If notified that a class may be postponed or cancelled, call the Y the day of the class to confirm it is on schedule.
• If cancelled, refunds will be issued by mail within 10 business days.
PROGRAM REFUND POLICY
Program fees are refunded only upon receipt of written request, whether a class was attended or not, and under the following conditions:
• Y Cancelled Program – 100% refund – refund check will be issued within 10 business days of date program was cancelled. No service charge. Program Director may opt to give an on-line credit if under $49.99.
• Refunds in the amount of $49.99 or less will result in an on-line credit. All refunds over $50 will be issued a check minus a $5 service charge.
• Participant cancels prior to first class – 100% refund
• Participant cancels after first class – 50% refund
• Participant cancels after second class – 25% refund
• Participant cancels after third class – No refund
• All refunds must be approved by Program Director
• Membership funds are non-refundable!
LOCKER ROOM POLICY
• Lockers are for day use only. Locks are to be removed when you leave premises.
• We encourage the use of a keyed padlock to secure belongings.
• We discourage bringing valuables into the locker rooms.
• Locks are not to be left on overnight.
• Locks left overnight will be removed the next morning, items bagged, tagged and put at front desk for pickup.
• Items not picked up within one week will be donated to charity.
• The YMCA is not responsible for personal property lost, damaged or stolen while members and/or guests are using the YMCA facilities or a YMCA program on premises.
• No children six years of age or older are allowed in opposite sex locker rooms.
• Larger bathrooms, located off of lobby and pool office bathroom are available for changing clothes, if needed.
• No running, boisterous or rough play is allowed in locker rooms.
• Do not stand on stools.
• Anyone found defacing or damaging the locker room is subject to disciplinary action and will be held financially responsible.
• You must shower before entering pool. As required by NC Dept of Health.
• The use of oil, cream based, or powder products (baby oil, shave gel, baby powder, etc.) is strictly prohibited in locker rooms, showers or pool area. Products cause floors to become extremely slippery resulting in a serious fall.
• NO street shoes are allowed in shower area or on pool deck.
• Use of cell phones is not allowed in locker or shower rooms. Use is limited to lobby.
• Towels and locks are available at front desk for purchase.
